In a recent post Michael Idinopulos, a VP at Socialtext, discusses challenges around getting people to use wikis. He describes two different kinds of wikis: in-the-flow and above-the flow. Above-the-flow wikis are like the ones you see in Wikipedia, aimed to capture knowledge and insights that people collect in the course of their work.
